No two people have exactly the same symptoms, and each person\u2019s symptoms can change or vary over time. One might experience only one or two of the possible symptoms while another can experience many more.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><u>Common symptoms<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Fatigue &#8211; can seriously interfere with the ability to function both at home and work, and may be the most dominant symptom in a person&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking difficulties \u2013 attempting to go from one place to another but cannot manage to do so<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spasticity \u2013 this is a condition in which there is an unusual increase in stiffness of muscle which might interfere with movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalmssociety.org\/Symptoms-Diagnosis\/MS-Symptoms\/Numbness\">Numbness or tingling<\/a> &#8211; numbness in the body is one of the first symptom that many MS patients suffer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vision problems \u2013 Blurred vision, poor contrast and decrease in colour clarity are also one of the first symptoms experienced by many<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dizziness and vertigo \u2013 MS patients may feel off balance or lightheaded or they might have a sensation that their surroundings are spinning<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bladder and bowel problems \u2013 bladder disfunction is a common symptom experienced by patients<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><u>Less common symptoms<\/u><\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Swallowing problems \u2013 this results to damage to the nerves controlling the small muscles in the mouth and throat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speech problems \u2013 aside from long pauses, the voice can sound weak, winded, choppy and soft<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tremors \u2013 hands, head and sometimes the whole body can go through periods of uncontrollable shaking<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breathing problems \u2013 MS can cause muscle weakness in the respiratory muscles causing breathing problems<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearing loss \u2013 hearing loss, fluttering sounds and ringing in the ears can also be caused by MS Seizures \u2013 these can result due to abnormal electrical discharges in an injured or scarred area of the brain<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MS symptoms are variable and unforeseeable.
